We finally came home from the hospital yesterday. It was really good to be home again, and Rowan seems to like the new house. Having Rowan in our life didn’t seem completely real while at the hospital. The hospital stay was like being on a vacation where you know one day you have to return to reality. But that changed for me as soon as we walked through the door of the house carrying the little guy. He is real and he is all ours.
Rowan has been keeping busy since leaving the hospital. He likes to sleep, eat, pee and poop. And boy can he poop. During our hospital stay Rowan went through 2 outfits, but the during the last 24 hours at home he has gone through…well, I’ve lost count but it was enough to make a load for the washer.
He also had his first bath today. Well, technically this was his second bath, but it was the first bath given to him by Mama and Papa T. He did surprisingly well. He didn’t cry and he stayed still through most of the bath. Then as we were finishing up he decided to take a pee. As we rush for cover he also decided to spit up. In a blink of an eye our clean little guy was no longer clean.
Speaking of pee, little Rowan seems like peeing…especially on Mama T. So far I have been spared from his target practice, but Mama T hasn’t been so lucky.
Rowan also got to meet his Grandmom and Granddad Davis and Aunt Brenna. And our super nice neighbor Nicole came over with dinner and cake, enough for the whole crew. LIttle Rowan, however, passed on Nicole’s dinner and instead ate at his favor place, Cafe Boob.
I wonder what excitement Rowan will have tomorrow?
