First Doctor Visit
Rowan had his first visit with the doctor since coming home. I’m happy to report the little guy is doing very well, especially in the growth department. He is only 2 ounces away from reaching his birth weight. Not bad for a kid only 6 days old. (For those wondering, newborns will lose weight for the first few days then start gaining the weight back as he or she eats more.)
Home At Last
We finally came home from the hospital yesterday. It was really good to be home again, and Rowan seems to like the new house. Having Rowan in our life didn’t seem completely real while at the hospital. The hospital stay was like being on a vacation where you know one day you have to return to reality. But that changed for me as soon as we walked through the door of the house carrying the little guy. He is real and he is all ours.
Feeling More Rested
We’re finally feeling more rested today. Rowan has been less gas-ie which has really helped. But the night is still young and anything can happen.
Our First 30 Hours with Rowan
Rowan is an absolute joy. We’re amazed to have this little man in our lives and there are still moments when it doesn’t seem real. The first 30 hours have been quite the adventure.
